The students, eight of us went to France from February 19 on March 3 for 13 days. We went to Bordeaux, Loire, Burgundy and Paris.
The research subject was “Durability of wine industry in France” and I learned many things. Of course, I was learning in advance about this subject in class. I had the knowledge acquired from the books and internet, but there was much information acquired by the wine sector people in France. I regret that I should have asked more questions using this opportunity. I think what I learned about market strategy which varied depending on the areas was very beneficial. I would like to profit from these knowledge in the future.
It was good to have the opportunities to talk about the taste and aroma of wine by tasting it, because there were many students who like alcohol including the professor.
The sightseeing during the weekend and free time in each region was so rewarding.
I am grateful to Prof. Omura and those people in France who took part in this field study for this precious experience. I would like to make the most of this experience for my future.
