Meiji Gakuin School Song

The lyrics of the school song were written by Toson Shimazaki (real name: Haruki Shimazaki), a member of the first graduating class of Meiji Gakuin University. A phrase from the song, “together with distant hopes,” inspired the name of the Enbo (distant hopes) bridge, from which you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day.
