Career Center
Meiji Gakuin University’s Career Center offers a wide range of support to students in designing their career. For example, we help each individual select a path that is best suited to him or her, and find ways to go about pursuing this path. We offer consultation not only on employment and internships, but also regarding graduate school and other issues.
Guidance and extracurricular seminars on career paths and employment

For 1st through 3rd-year students: Employment guidance for 1st and 2nd year students, programs to discover job opportunities, etc.
For 3rd and 4th year students: Networking events with alumni, various seminars on job search (research on industries and corporations, self analysis, manners, etc.), interview practice seminars, etc. |

Students can browse through job postings and recruitment information not only on the office bulletin board and front desk, but also by using the online Employment Support System. |

Other distinctive efforts by the Career Center
Enhancing support of careers in education
An Education Career Support Division was set up within the Career Center in 2010. Teaching career advisers and staff members are available to offer assistance to students who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching.
“Living Together” job placement assistance project
A job placement assistance project to help students live together with others and thrive as professionals who contribute to society. Efforts being carried out the by the Career Center include: installing a “front desk organization system for reducing congestion” and increasing the number of counselors at the Career Center, creating and distributing job placement guidebooks for parents and guardians, building relationships with businesses through on-campus seminars, and making efforts to enhance information provision capabilities.
“The Project to Support the Employability in University Students”
This project is carried out under the university’s educational principle “Do for Others,” to bring together the university (faculty members), graduates (alumni), and relevant businesses (practicing professionals) to create an MG Alliance, which, as a unified entity, works together to train students to gain the necessary skills to become successfully employed after graduation. This goal will be realized based on the following five pillars:
- Establish an MG Alliance and an Alliance Support Office
- Accumulate and analyze basic data relevant to employability training by Meiji Gakuin University
- Visualize and enhance class subjects and extracurricular workshops
- Develop a career portfolio
- Hire career coordinators
