Your MGU-CARD is required for all transactions.
Borrowing
You can borrow books at the Circulation Counter. (for Faculty: the Reference
Counter is also available).
Returning
Please return books by the due date at the Circulation Counter. Don't re-shelve
them yourself. When the libraries are closed, use the book-drops outside
the entrance.
Renewing
You can renew books twice at maximum.
Please bring them to the Circulation Counter.
Most books available for loan are renewable except any books reserved by
another Library user.
Reservation
If a book is on loan to another user, you can reserve a book on loan at
the Circulation Counter.
Laptop computer
You may borrow it for 3 hours.
Using an AV-Booth
Please select software (i.e. DVD) from the shelves and bring it to the
Circulation Counter. You may use the booth for 2 hours.
Using Inter-site request service
The Libraries have an Inter-site Service.
If an item on loan and the same one is in Yokohama(Shirokane) Library,
you can use this system.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan obtains items that are not available at the Meiji Gakuin
University Library for academic purposes.
For the current Meiji Gakuin University students, faculty, and staff, the
Library will provide the following services;
- Obtain a photocopy of a periodical article or a short section of a book
from other libraries or institutes, usually within 7-10 business days(fee
based).
- Borrow a book from other libraries or institutes, usually within 7-10 business
days depending on shipping time(fee based).
- Before requesting the Library, Find items via NACSIS Webcat that is the Union catalogue in Japan.
