Using Your Laptop Computer in the Library

You may use your own laptop computer in the designated areas of the library.
You may also access the university network if you already have an account.

To access the network, you need a LAN card and a LAN cable.
In addition, you are advised to have a security kit to guard against thefts.

Please be advised in advance that the Library provides no PC connection or set up support.
If you anticipate any technical problems, please go to the Information Center(Joho Center) first.


Designated areas with active jacks:
Shirokane library2nd floor (entrance floor)
  • All seats except the carrels
  • Group reading room
5th floor
  • 6-seat almond shaped table near the computer terminals.
    5 - 7th floor
    • Private reading rooms for members of faculty, staff and full-time postgraduates.
    Yokohama library2nd floor
    • Reading room for laptop users.
    • All carrels
    • All carrels in the reading room for members of faculty and postgraduates.
