Registration
for Presenters
and All Other Persons Listed on the ASCJ 2010 Program
All presenters, chairs
and discussants must register by paying the conference fee of 4,000 yen
no later than Tuesday
April 20. There is a
reduced rate of 2,000 for graduate students.
The Executive Committee needs to receive
your registration in good time
in order to make important programming and scheduling decisions that
affect all participants. If you are late in registering, you may
jeopardize your own position in the program, as well as that of fellow
panelists.
Please read the
registration instructions carefully.
Registration includes:
1) paying the conference fee and, if you plan to attend, the reception
fee; and
2) sending confirmation of your payment to ASCJ.
General
registration will open in late April for
all
those who are NOT presenters, chairs, or discussants.

Penalties for late presenter registration:
In order to prepare a program that is complete and accurate, we ask all
presenters, chairs and discussants to observe the April 20
deadline.
If you have NOT registered
by April 20, your name and affiliation will be removed from the online
program.
After April 20, we will accept presenter registration
as follows:
April 21 through June 10: You may
send the conference fee payment (together with
reception fee if desired) by credit card or bank transfer.
Your
name will be restored in the online program when we receive your
registration and payment.
From June 11 credit card and bank
transfer payments will be closed. Your name will be removed from the
program posted on the ASCJ website and will NOT be included in the
printed program. You may pay the onsite conference
fee of 5,000 yen (2,000 yen in the case of
graduate students) on the day of the conference. A printed name tag is prepared for everyone who registers in advance online.
If requested,
we can send
members of your panel a formal letter of invitation that can be
used to secure travel funds from university or other funding sources.
Such letters can only be provided for persons listed on the program. Please note
that ASCJ is not in a position to provide financial support
for travel or accommodation costs, nor can it act as sponsor for those
who need visas to enter Japan. Persons who will be traveling to Japan
for the first time should check the visa requirements well in advance.

below. Please note that it is NOT safe to send credit card details by

furikomi) (available to Japan residents only)

desired, the reception fee to the following account:

Any bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the
sender. When you have completed the bank transfer, please complete the Confirmation of payments form

After
completing payment by credit card (fax) or bank transfer, please fill

form. A copy will automatically be sent to you.
However, do not consider that your registration is complete until you
have received a personal email response from ASCJ. This will usually be sent to you within a week of payment.
