"Early Bird" Registration: Feb. 20 - April 20


All presenters, chairs and discussants should register by paying the conference fee of 3,000 yen no later than April 20 (Friday). There is a reduced rate of 1,000 for graduate students.

Anyone else planning to attend the conference is welcome to register at this time.

From April 21, the fee for registration will go up. All online registration will end on June 15 (Friday).

The Executive Committee needs to receive your registration in good time in order to make important programming and scheduling decisions that affect all participants. If you are late in registering, you may jeopardize your own position in the program, as well as that of fellow panelists.

ASCJ is not in a position to provide financial support for travel or accommodation costs, nor can it act as sponsor for those who need visas to enter Japan. Persons who will be traveling to Japan for the first time should check the visa requirements well in advance.

Please read the registration instructions carefully.

Registration includes:
1) paying the conference fee and, if you plan to attend, the reception fee; and
2) sending confirmation of your payment to ASCJ.

Penalties for late presenter registration:
In order to prepare a program that is complete and accurate, we ask all presenters, chairs and discussants to observe the April 20 deadline. 

If  you have NOT registered by April 20, your name and affiliation will be removed from the online program

After April 20, we will accept presenter registration as follows:

April 21 through June 15: You may send the conference fee payment (together with reception fee if desired) by credit card or bank transfer. Your name will be restored in the online program when we receive your registration and payment. 

From June 16 credit card and bank transfer payments will be closed. Your name will be removed from the program posted on the ASCJ website and will NOT be included in the printed program. You may pay the onsite conference fee of 5,000 yen (2,000 yen in the case of graduate students) on the day of the conference.

A printed name tag is prepared for everyone who registers in advance online. You will receive a printed receipt at the conference when we hand you your name tag.

If requested, we can send members of your panel a formal letter of invitation that can be used to secure travel funds from university or other funding sources. Such letters can only be provided for persons listed on the program.

    2) Domestic bank transfer (ginko furikomi) (available to Japan residents only)
    Pay the appropriate registration fee and, if desired, the reception fee to the following account:

    Any bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender. When you have completed the bank transfer, please complete the Confirmation of payments form below.

    If you have trouble using the form, see BELOW for alternatives.


    Confirmation of payments by credit card or bank transfer

    After completing payment by credit card (fax) or bank transfer, please fill out this form. A copy will automatically be sent to you. However, do not consider that your registration is complete until you have received a personal email response from ASCJ. This will usually be sent to you within a week of payment.
