| I love music of sorts; classic music (e.g. Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Schoenberg), jazz (e.g. John Coltrane, Miles Davis), blues (e.g. Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hart), country music (e.g. Granpa Jones, Country Joe McDonald, Asleep at the Wheel, The Oak Ridge Boys), American folk music (e.g. Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, The New Lost City Ramblers), and other popular music (e.g. Tom Waits, Michael Franks). Above all, bluegrass is my kind of music. My favorite musicians are Bill Monroe, Earl Scruggs, Ralph Stanley, The Cluster Pluckers, and many many others. I play the guitar and the banjo a little, and my wife plays the autoharp and sings well. |
