Dr.Sanjay Seth teaches political theory at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. He specializes in political theory and modern Indian history. He is the author of Marxist Theory and Nationalist Politics: Colonial India (1995) and co-editor of Postcolonial Studies, an international journal published by Routledge. In 2003 he is the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow at Tokyo University, where he is completing the manuscript of a book tentatively titled Subject to Pedagogy, Subject of History: Debating Western Education in Colonial India.
