After the discussion, Pprofessor Kazter has invited us to a dinner. He as well as the team students are very kind. We thank them very much for every thing.
1999/3/22 Mon Lagerdia-Pittsburgh The aircraft to Pittsburgh was so small that we were very surprised. Mark has come to see us and take to PAA where we stayed and Prof. Ron Brand, Prof. Kevin Ashley and two Pitt's team students were waiting for us. They have invited us to a nice dinner at PAA. At dinner as well as after the dinner we could discuss with each other well. Stay at Pittsuburgh. Univ.
1999/3/23 Tue Pittsburgh--Frankfurt Prof. Brand introduced us to the University of Pittsburgh School of Law kindly. Court room of the school is especially impresive. We have the big impression that the cathedral is so beautifle. Mark went to Airport with us by his mini-bus. We flied from Pittsburgh to Washington and from Wahsington to Frankfurt. We slept in the air plane. From Frankfurt we took a train and went to Freiburg.
1999/3/24 Wed   We visited the University of Freiburg Faculty of Law and had precompetition of the MOOT with Freiburg team which was arranged well by Professor Schrechtriem and his staff. Professor Yoshino, our teaher, has invited all Freiburg team as well as us to a dinner. We enjoyed German Bier and foods, also the discussion with Freiburg students. Stay in Freiburg
1999/3/25 Thu   On the way for Vienna we visted a beutiful castle 'Neu Schwanstein' which is the most famous in Germany. To visit he castle has been our dream. Therefore we are very, very pleased. We stayed in Fuessen which is nice small town near to the castle.
1999/3/26 Fri Moot(Vienna) We arrived at Vienna HBF at 16:00. At 18:00 the reception began. This was the begining of this big envent. We joined the recepetion of the moot. More than 70 universities from the world sent their team to the moot court in Vienna. This is realy 'big event'. Professor Erick Bergstein, the director of the moot, gave an opening addtess. Stay in Vienna
1999/3/27 Sat   We had the first competition with Dokuz Eyluel University team from Turkey. Ms Okawa and Mr. Higuchi argued as councels of the respondant. In front of three arbitrators, two teams took seets against each other. On team represent a claiment and the other represent a respondent. Two houers are applyed for the debate. We think that it was a little difficult for us to argue with them well at the first.
1999/3/28 Sun   We had the second competition with Pittsuburgh University team. Ms Okawa and Mr. Higuti argued as councels of the claiment. Because we met the student from Pittsuburg University on Tuesday already, it was easier for us to argue with them . And we think we were accustumed to argue with.
1999/3/29 Mon   The third competition for us was held against the University of Victoria team. Ms. Okawa and Ms. Kobayashi played the argumentation as councels for the claiment.
1999/3/30 Tue   The last competion was held against the University of Technology Sydney team. Ms. Okawa and Ms. Kawazoe argued as two councels for the respondant.
1999/3/31 Wed   On the basis of the evaluation of the arguments by arbitrators for 4 dayes, the 8 teams were selected for the quoter-final competition. Our team was not selected under these 8 teams, what is not so strange. Quoter-final and Semi-final competion were held on this day. Fairwell party was held in 'Titanic' (a disco bar) from 22:00. We danced until midnight. Professor Yoshino danced as well.
1999/4/1 Thu   The final competion was held between Deakin University and University of Cologne. Deakin Univesity has won. At 13:00 the award party was held. We ate very delcious lunch all together in the beautiful large hall of 'Hofburg' (the emperer's castle). Several awwards were given to several universitiy teams. We said to 'conguraturation' to them. Long, hard but joyeful moot discussion was over. We said 'God by, see you next time!' each other.
