　古（いにしへ）に天地（あめつち）未（いま）だ剖（わか）れず、陰陽（めを）分（わか）れざりしとき、渾沌（まろか）れたること鶏子（とりのこ）の如（ごと）くして、溟（ほのか）にして牙（め）を含(ふふ)めり。其（そ）れ清陽(すみあきらか)なるものは、薄靡（たなび）きて天（あめ）と爲（な）り、重濁(おもくにご)れるものは、淹滞（つつ）ゐて地（つち）と爲（な）るに及（およ）びて、精妙（くはしくたへ）なるが合（あ）へるは摶（むらが）り易（やす）く、重濁（おもくにご）れるが凝（こ）りたるは竭（かたま）り難（がた）し。故（かれ）、天（あめ）先（ま）づ成（な）りて地（つち）後（のち）に定（さだ）まる。然（しかう）して後（のち）に、神聖（かみ）、其（そ）の中（なか）に生（あ）れます。故（かれ）曰（い）はく、開闢（あめつちひら）くる初（はじめ）に、洲壌（くにつち）の浮（う）かれ漂（ただよ）へること、譬（たと）へば游魚（あそぶいを）の水上（みづのうへ）に浮（う）けるが猶（ごと）し。時（とき）に、天地（あめつち）の中（なか）に一物（ひとつのもの）生（な）れり。状（かたち）葦牙（あしかび）の如（ごと）し。便（すなは）ち神（かみ）と化爲（な）る。國常立尊（くにとこたちのみこと）と號（まう）す。次（つぎ）に國狹槌尊（くにのさつちのみこと）。次（つぎ）に豊斟渟尊（とよくむぬのみこと）。凡（すべ）て三（みはしら）の神（かみ）ます。乾道獨化（あめのみちひとりな）す。所為（このゆゑ）に此（こ）の純男（をとこのかぎり）を成なせり。
