Research Keywords
Research
AI and data science are applied to image processing to create new value that did not exist before. For example, the use of generative AI makes it possible to visualise images in the brain that cannot be verbalised, enabling new forms of communication and art. Other examples include extending the possibilities of human interfaces by using AI to analyse facial images as a key to help realise the personalised society that Society 5.0 is aiming for. As the brain was developed to process visual information, research into image processing by AI will also lead us closer to human intelligence. The ultimate goal is to create AI that approaches human intelligence and contribute to human society.
Possible graduation research topics
Imaging and machine learning are the two main themes. If one of these is included, you are free to choose your research topic. An example.
- Generative AI visualisation of the ideal product design required by users.
- AI that understands and accompanies human emotions.
- Research and development of deductive AI, which, like humans, learns from a small amount of data.
- Emotion estimation from near-expressionless facial images.
- Facial image ageing simulation, cosmetic simulation, hairstyle simulation
Hobbies, skills and likes
My original speciality is theoretical physics, so I like to think about metaphysical things, such as the mysteries of the universe and the birth of life, in a daze. I am the type of person who thinks from the aspect of "What is consciousness? I love Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem. I have been a bookworm since I was a child, and I am also an extraordinary fan of music and films. I am also a 3rd dan in karate (Shotokan style), but I have never used it outside the dojo.
