Regarding extension of the entry ban until June 30, 2020

To prevent spread of novel coronavirus infections, Meiji Gakuin University has declared an entry ban on all facilities, including University buildings at Shirokane, Yokohama, and Takanawa. This entry ban was to last until May 31 (Sunday), but we have extended it until June 30 (Tuesday). Office (information desk) operations will also remain suspended. We will continue to monitor trends in the infection rate, and based on that decide whether to lift the entry ban from July 1.

The Japanese government ended its emergency declaration on May 25, but the decision to reallow entrance to our facilities must be made with great care in consideration of infection risks while commuting to the University and the novel coronavirus’s two-week incubation period. Note that we are considering partial reopening of some University facilities during June, and will inform you of details should any such decision occur.
