Regarding the 2021 school year entrance ceremony

We plan to hold the 2021 school year entrance ceremony on campus.

As a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, however, the entrance ceremony cannot be held in the chapel with all new students gathered. The ceremony will therefore be broadcast live from the chapel, and new undergraduate students are invited to watch the broadcast from classrooms on campus. Because there are relatively few incoming graduate students as compared to undergraduate students, graduate students can attend the ceremony in the chapel.

Please see the special page for new students “Notices from the Undergraduate Faculty”(in Japanese) regarding events for incoming undergraduate students scheduled for after the ceremony.

We are also sorry to say that guardians and current students will not be allowed on campus, and ask your understanding in this matter.

Note that future events may result in cancellation or modification of the ceremony. If so, we will post notifications on the University website and Port Hepburn. We will also upload a video of the ceremony to the University website at a later date (late April).
