Meiji Gakuin University(MGU) held an signing ceremony for the updated Student Exchange Agreement with the University of California, Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) on Tuesday, April 17 2018.

Dr. Vivian-Lee Nyitray, Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director of UCEAP and Dr. Mary McMahon, Regional Director of UCEAP, came to our Shirokane Campus for this signing ceremony and were welcomed by Vice President Shigeki Takeo, and Dr. Keiko Tanaka, Director of International Center.

MGU President Yasuo Matsubara also joined this ceremony and discussed the various possibilities of Academic Exchange.

MGU and UC signed the first reciprocity agreement in 1988 and since then, we have seen many exchanges of faculty members and students. We sincerely hope to enhance this exchange in the future.

UCEAP Alumni Reunion was also held in the evening on our campus.  UC graduates and faculty members residing in Japan as well as representatives from other Japanese partner universities gathered at MGU's 10th Floor Hall. This event was a golden opportunity for Alumni exchange and during the event, UCEAP called on the participants for continued support of the UC exchange students in Japan. We are happy that we could provide the venue and other support for the reunion.
