American Culture and Society, British Culture and Society or Cross Cultural History. The successful candidate is also expected to be in charge of seminar courses including thesis supervision. The appointee may also be asked to supervise the overseas field studies.

Academic Specialty
Specialist in the following fields such as: American Studies, British Studies, Comparative Cultural Studies, Cultural Interaction Studies, Diaspora Studies, Ethnic Studies or related fields. The candidate must have publications in the fields related to American/British Culture, Society or History.

Application requirements
The candidate is required to have the Ph.D. In exceptional cases, a candidate without a Ph.D. may also be considered if an equivalent level of knowledge and professional experience can be demonstrated. Also, Japanese communication skills for routine work are needed.

(3) Reprint or copy of three publications each with an abstract of 250 words (Indicate the most important one out of the three with a circle on the list of publication.)
(4) Syllabus and outline for a lecture class on “American Culture and Society,” “British Culture and Society” or “Cross Cultural History” in 1-2 page(s). There should be a total of 15 class sessions.
(5) Certificate of the highest degree awarded or its scanned image
(6) Statement of Purpose describing your educational philosophy and suitability for this position (500 words)
