Openings for Part-Time EFL Teachers
Department of English

  explanation of project, etc.)
 
    Teaching classes part-time in our first- and second-year English language program in
    the Department of English. Creating a syllabus based on department guidelines for the
    classes in conjunction with the course supervisors. Attending annual teacher’s meeting.

Jobdetails (duties, subject responsible for, etc.)  
    Teach two to three classes of first- and second-year English. Classes include reading,
    writing, listening, and speaking, as well as academic skills and content-based subjects. .
    Teachers must follow guidelines, but also be active in constructing activities,
    preparing assignments and supervising students’ language learning.

Number of positions
 
    Two positions, two to three classes each.

    April 1, 2022  

【Period of Contract】
  
    Contracts are for one year, renewable annually for a maximum of 5 years total.

Qualifications
  
    An M.A. or higher degree in a relevant field, in particular related to language
    teaching, such as ESL, EFL, education, literature, linguistics or related field. Three
    publications on a language teaching-related topic. Experience teaching university
    English classes.

Compensation
  
    Compensation is in accordance with university personnel regulations for 15 class periods per semester, two
    semesters in one year, and ranges from 28,000 to 31,500 yen per class per month (divided over 12 months per year).
    The exact amount is determined by the years since you completed your degree.
    Commuting fees are also reimbursed (within certain limits).
    Social insurance is not included.
