*If a candidate has a strong preference, they may ask to teach the classes for only the
Dept. of International Studies or the Dept. of Global and Transcultural Studies
(i.e., they may ask to teach only in Japanese or English.)
*The Internship (Practicum) classes in Japanese and English are for guiding students during their internships;
therefore,it may not be necessary to conduct every weekly meeting of this class.
2. Program Coordinator Duties
These are listed below. Even if the successful candidate teaches courses for just one of the departments
(i.e., just teachings in Japanese or English), they will manage the internship program for both departments.
(1) Perform necessary work for the smooth operation of the Faculty’s Internship Program.
(2) Work relating to coordinating activities businesses and organizations outside the University.
This coordinator will perform this work for both departments.
(3) Perform other work required by the Faculty of International Studies.
Coordinator duties will require two days per week, but they include work that will not require
commuting to campus.

【The Position Type】 Adjunct Lecturer
The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewals for a total of five year.
However, the position will close at the end of the academic year if the hired faculty member’s 70th birthday occurs in
that year.

【Qualifications for Application】
Candidates must meet all the requirements in items 1~4 below.
1. One of the following sets of qualifications:
・A master’s degree or professional degree, with three or more years of teaching experience,
and the ability to conduct research.
・Five or more years of experience teaching the stated course and a record of
actual internship guidance or participation in community service.
2. Knowledge and experience with internships and international exchange.
3. The ability to begin on the starting date stated above.
4. The position is open to all applicants irrespective of their nationality, but the Faculty seeks applicants with the
ability to freely use Japanese and English to perform the duties stated above.
【Renumeration】
1. Salary for adjunct lecturing: \28,000-31,500 for each weekly class meeting (based on date of college graduation)
2. Coordinator salary: \100,000-120,000 per month
3. Commuting costs (there is an upper limit)
*There is no insurance or retirement benefits.

of Global and Transcultural Studies [i.e., applicants who only want to hold the class in Japanese or English]
may submit a syllabus for just that department.
The syllabus for the Dept. of Global and Transcultural Studies Internship Lecture must be written in English.)
