【Teaching responsibilities】
The primary responsibility is a course on a Northeast Asian economy and a course on social policy. In addition,
the successful candidate will teach several small-class workshops/seminars and possibly introductory courses
on social sciences. While the main language of teaching is Japanese, candidates who can teach one or more
courses in English is preferred.
A Ph.D. or equivalent research expertise in areas related to the teaching responsibilities.
Application is open to applicants of any first language. However, high proficiency in Japanese is required
for teaching and administrative duties. Proficiency in English is preferred for educational purposes.

(Please note: this summary is necessary in addition to the short synopsis in the list of publications.)
(4)A syllabus for an undergraduate course on Northeast Asian Studies in Japanese (15 class sessions of 90
minutes each) and another syllabus for an undergraduate course on social policy in Japanese
(15 class sessions of 90 minutes each).
(5)A statement on your teaching philosophy at Meiji Gakuin University
(approximately 1,000 words in Japanese).
