Introduction to Club and Circle Activities
A large number of student groups (clubs and circles) are active on our campuses. Below, we list student groups that are recognized by the university. Among these groups are clubs and circles which belong to groups affiliated with university sports teams or the Federation of Cultural Organizations, groups that conduct their own unique activities, known as voluntary associations, and committees involved in the staging of major events, such as the university festival. Our student groups are earnest in their desire to improve their skills, and so even our circles are involved in a diverse range of activities. In addition, one of the distinctive features of Meiji Gakuin University is the vigorous activity of volunteer groups and Christian groups on our campuses.
Sports Project
Meiji Gakuin University’s Christian-based education is known as a form of character-building education respecting the precept “Do for Others” We also give consideration to the fact that sports offer a forum for character-building education, and we therefore launched the Project to Enhance Sports at Meiji Gakuin (generally termed the “Sports Project”) as a means of building identity in participants in April 2005.
