The results of allocations for fiscal 2024 Grants-in-aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) show Meiji Gakuin University ranked 1st (58.0%) for new acceptances. We furthermore reached 30th place (38.4%) nationwide for percentage of female researchers selected for KAKENHI grants (new and ongoing).
KAKENHI is a competitive research grant sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, particularly designed to foster all forms of academic research (research based on the free ideas of researchers), from fundamental to applied research. The results of KAKENHI-supported research are returned to our education and to society.
